Cachapoal y Colchagua Valleys

DESCRIPTION

At Colchagua valley there is a little valley called Apalta, known for its excellent wines. In this wine tour we will visit Neyen winery that has the oldest grapevines of Chile, brought from Bourdeaux, France, in year 1890. Add the special characteristics of Apalta terroir and you get a higher quality wine.

Neyen winery produces just one wine: Neyen and outstanding blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere, the perfect combination, Carmenere is adding elegance to the tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon. After this visit, the tour will continue to Cachapoal valley. Near to a village called Requinoa is located Altair winery a name inspired by the star. This winery belongs to the San Pedro de Tarapaca Group the second largest wine producer in Chile. In this winery the newest technology and the craft method are combined for a unique process.

Enjoy their wines and a lunch with an amazing view. Altair winery produces two wines: Altair and Sideral. In both vineyards the grape vines are densely planted. Viticulture follows a traditional scheme, where the interference to the grape is minimal. Is a great opportunity to test by tasting how much soil and weather influences the character of wine. Highly recommended tour for red wine lovers and people who love being in contact with nature. Departure: 8:00 am.
