My time in Chile was amazing thanks to Patricia Garabito Valdes and the great tours she organized for me. I was travelling alone and Patricia took me on tours that where tailor-made for me interests. A city tour of Santiago showing me places of special interest and explaining the history of the city, wonderful trips to Maipo and the Andes Mountains, Cartagena, Valparaiso and much more. The experience of sitting at a table high in the Andes Mountains on a blanket of snow, watching the vast array of colour on the mountains, sipping wine, eating good food and feeling the great energy of the mountains will stay with me for ever. And the sea-side and country-side, as well as the many vineyards, were just as fascinating. I just wish I could have spent more time discovering the areas of Cartagena and Valparaiso and other places that we could not fit into my schedule. But what is the land without its people? Just like Patricia I found the people warm, generous and gracious. Many times I was astounded by the kindness and generosity of complete strangers during the time I spent in Chile. Thanks Patricia for your great tours, knowledge and generosity. You made Chile very special for me.
